CONFERENCE REGISTRATION INCLUDES:
- 2 days of presentations, including roundtables
- networking mixer

- lunch on 4/30 and 5/1 (details below)
- optional day of Learning Labs (4/29) including a presentation, panel discussion, and lunch (additional registration fee required)
- optional pairing with a "conference buddy" in case you are a first time conference attendee or nervous about coming alone
Cost
- Member only EARLY BIRD RATE - $250 (deadline Feb. 13th)
- Members regular rate - $275
- Non-members $375 (Become a member here for $60!)
- Student rate - $175 (must provide information about college and facility advisor to conference@aphe.org to receive discount code for registration).

LOCATION: The conference, Learning Labs, and conference mixer will be taking place at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center.
MEALS: The following meals are included with conference registration:
Day 1 (April 29): Lunch provided for Learning Lab attendees, Networking Mixer for all conference registrants (drinks and light hors d'oeuvres)
Day 2 (April 30): Lunch, Awards Dinner*
Day 3 (May 1): Lunch
*APHE dinner on April 30 will be hosted at The Fat Lady and is provided for all conference attendees. If you would like to bring a guest, additional tickets are $65 each.
*Please note that breakfast will not be provided at the conference location (OACC), as the conference hotel (Hampton Inn Oakland Downtown-City Center) provides a complimentary hot breakfast buffet to all hotel guests.
PHOTOS & FILMING: For promotional purposes, photos and video recordings will be taken during the conference. Participants who do not wish to be filmed or recorded should advise the organizers in writing prior to event.
Learning Labs and Panel Discussion: An optional opportunity to attend one of two Learning Lab sessions and panel discussion with leaders in the field on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Hosted at our conference location: Oakland Asian Cultural Center, and followed by our Networking Mixer.
T-SHIRTS: Our 2026 conference T-shirts will be available for pre-order here! Shirts are $17 for members and $20 for non-members. T-shirts must be picked up in person at the conference. Shipping is unavailable at this time.
CONTINUING EDUCATION
The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement
APHE is an approved provider of content which enhances professional competence and aligns with the CAWA Exam specifications.
National Animal Care & Control Association (NACA)
This conference has been approved for Continuing Education Units by NACA. National certificate holders can submit for credit consistent with the NACA CEU policy.
CANCELLATION/ TRANSFER POLICY
More than sixty days prior to the start of the conference: A full refund minus a $35 processing fee.
Less than sixty days prior to the conference: Registration fees are final and non-refundable.
Transfers: Conference registration can be transferred to another person provided they qualify for the same conference rate (i.e.: If a membership rate was given, then registration can only be transferred to another member).
