"World Within a World" with Heddie Leger, CCFT, CDBC, CHES, CPDT, FDM Founder/Owner of BarnZen4u

The elements of designing, planning, implementing, and evaluating a prison dog program are essential to the success of such an endeavor and requires community partnering. A myriad of details include the health, safety, and welfare of each individual both canine and human that will be involved in the program. Learn the steps to a successful program and how to avoid the pitfalls. Programs have become more prevalent, however, there is not a standard application that is followed for upholding the principles and ethics of humane treatment of all involved. Gain valuable knowledge about a successful statewide program with over a dozen correctional facilities currently housing dogs being humanely coached by carefully selected offenders who help these dogs become more highly adoptable.
