APHE Membership

APHE provides great networking opportunities and personal support. One of the support resources is the Humane Education Quarterly newsletter full of great articles, profiles, and lesson ideas. Read a sample issue (PDF).

APHE welcomes all individuals who share an interest in promoting humane attitudes toward people, animals, and the environment. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • teachers of animal welfare
  • teachers of animal rights
  • animal rights activists
  • animal behavior specialists
  • those with environmental concerns
  • character education teachers and specialists
  • teachers and experts in cultural studies
  • any combination of the above

Membership is $50 per year or $80 for two years. A Student Membership is available for $35 per year. Renewals are managed on an individual basis.
