    The APHE Auction Committee is happy to announce we are having our first online auction to support the Nathania Gartman Memorial Scholarship Fund, which assists our members needing financial assistance in order to attend our 2015 National Humane Education Conference. Between today and November 15, 2014 at 8:00p.m. Eastern time we will be auctioning off a one-week stay at a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo on Sanibel Island, FL to be used during a mutually agreed upon time between May 2 and October 31, 2015 ($1250 value) generously donated by the family of Larry De Lisle!

    We also have an original 11 X 14 Pastel Pet Portrait of your pet kindly donated by E. J. Klepinger ($1400 value); a pair of 11X14 Limited Edition Butterfly Prints by artist Carl Brenders ($226.00 value) charitably donated by Alice Baker and friends of APHE as well as Admission for two - Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona nicely donated by the Desert Botanical Garden!

    APHE is launching a new, online networking program for members!  Join us for the first virtual meeting to share ideas and best practices on camps.  What new activities shined this year?  How do you handle kids with cell phones?  Bring your ideas and questions to share with the group!  Stacey Zeitlin, APHE Membership Secretary and chair of the committee that created APHE's Building the Perfect Summer Camp for Your Humane Program resource manual, will moderate the discussion.

    Save the date! The 2015 APHE National Humane Education Conference will be held April 22-24 at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel near Phoenix, Arizona.

    The Polynesian-themed mixer will be held at the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA and will feature live entertainment.

    The conference theme is "Blazing the Trail for Humane Education."
