Urban Humane: Enhancing Humane Education for Underserved Youth

Urban Humane: Enhancing Humane Education for Underserved Youth is a Fall II course offered by Humane Society University. Course participants will learn about the systemic social and socio-economic barriers that may make service and humane education difficult in underserved areas and how to identify partners for humane work, and be able to list the action steps that can be taken by an educator or group to address the above barriers. This course is an elective in the Certified Humane Education Specialist credentialing program, but may be taken as an individual professional development course.
