"Humane Education and Theories
of Learning and Development"

The Academy of Prosocial Learning (APL) Certified Humane Education Specialist (CHES) online course, “HE 002 Humane Education and Theories of Learning and Development” is open for registration.

This course is designed to equip both formal and informal education practitioners with an understanding and appreciation of the fundamental theories of learning and how they relate to the components of humane and prosocial education and moral development. The spring term course begins on April  10 and runs through June 18. It is an asynchronous course, meaning that each week you log in at your own pace to complete course materials. The course is $200, and APL offers a 10% discount to APHE members (see Members' Area - Member Discounts at aphe.org for details).

The prerequisite for this course is “HE 001 History of Humane Education,” which covers the rich roots of teaching a humane ethic. This self-paced option and can be started at any time.
